This page dimethylethylamine  – or  DMEA  – ( C4H11N ) provides information about: properties, health effects, detection devices and systems – DMEA gas detector  – and suitable respiratory protective equipment (gas mask or  ABEK with gas filter powered air purifying respirator).

Dimethylethylamine – DMEA (C4H11N) – properties

Generally known as DMEA dimethylethylamine ( C4H11N ) , is widely available in foundries. This gas is used as a crosslinking agent for synthetic resins (phenoplasts, polyurethanes) used mainly in the core making process of foundries. It is also a polymerization catalyst for polyamides.

Dimetiletilamin – DMEA – sağlık üzerindeki etkileri

Dimethylethylamine ( DMEA ), extremely explosive with explosive limits between 2.3% and 12% vol. flammable is a gas. When this gas burns, it contains ammonia, nitrogen oxides and traces of cyanide. It produces very toxic fumes. It is also a poisonous gas and when inhaled (H332) or Harmful if swallowed (H302). very irritating It may cause skin burns and serious eye damage.
