What is a colorimetric gas detector tube<\/h2>\n

It is a closed tube made of glass that contains a chemical substance to monitor and react (with a color change) in the presence of the target gas or vapor.     These units are by far the best known and most used due to the large number of toxic or asphyxiating gases they can monitor.       This is a TWA (Time Weighted Average) measurement system that measures gas concentration over a fixed period of time (e.g. 8 hours represents a working day). There is no need for a pump for this type of gas detector tubes, the gas concentration is read directly in the tube after exposure.
