But in the last 4 years we have started to hear more about it as its use has increased and it has caused a lot of damage. Inhalation of laughing gas is mostly seen among young people and in festive environments.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 data-content-type=\"heading\" data-appearance=\"default\" data-element=\"main\"><span>Laughing gas: Function creep of nitrous oxide<\/span><\/h2>\n<div data-content-type=\"text\" data-appearance=\"default\" data-element=\"main\" data-was-processed=\"true\">\n<p><strong><span>nitrous oxide<\/span><\/strong><span>\u00a0This function creep\u00a0is achieved by breathing gas through a balloon inflated with nitrogen oxide cylinders or cartridges. These organizations state in a report that \u201c134 cases were reported to poison prevention centers in 2020, against 46 in 2019, and 254 cases were reported to addiction surveillance centers in 2020, against 47 in 2019.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span>According to their study, most of these gassings affect young adults between the ages of 21 and 22. The increase in consumption among minors is also important (20% of poisoning cases recorded in 2020 versus 13.6 in 2019).\u00a0<strong>Abuse<\/strong>\u00a0And\u00a0<strong>excessive consumption<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span>cases are\u00a0constantly increasing. Indeed, the agricultural sector is the main source of nitrogen oxide emissions, representing approximately 90% of emissions of this gas. Nitrogen fertilizers\u00a0through the process of nitrification and denitrification of soils, leading to the emission of nitrous oxide<\/span><br \/>\n<span>It is the use of nitrogenous substances such as. Processing of crop residues is also a cause of these gas emissions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The agricultural sector is not the only activity that releases nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere and soil; the chemical industry is also responsible.
